Derelict Sunday Beauty

Phil brought me a lovely bouquet of red and white tulips about 10 days ago, and I've enjoyed watching them "ring the changes" as they've morphed from a uniform tulip shape into a wide range of dance poses (see extras, too).

I think that tulips are at their most beautiful in old age, when each flower expresses itself fully before the petals fall.
