Wixams

Another long day... left home 06:30, drove to south Leeds to collect our son, then to Doncaster to deposit the dog and collect daughter and granddaughters. Then down the A1 to Bedford (Wixams) to visit Mrs madwill’s mother. She was delighted to see her grandchildren and her great granddaughters all together .... something that doesn’t happen very often.

 
After coffee, we had a grand lunch out at a nearby pub, then back to the ‘retirement village’ for more coffee. First time we have had a full complement of 7 persons in our ‘bus’. Plenty of room all round!

The photo is of the inside of the village communal area. There is a small cafe-bar, a shop, library, hairdresser and games room. It is a very pleasant place to live.


We left around 3:30 for the return trip, eventually got back home around 7 p.m. Covered 350 miles today.
