Marsh tit

A quick trip to the local Nature reserve this afternoon to photograph a few birds.
Sadly there wasn't anything special to see although I did manage to photograph one of the resident Marsh tits.
The Marsh tit Poecile palustris is a sleek little bird about the size of a Blue tit. It is very similar to the far less common Willow tit and could be confused with the much more strongly marked and much more common Coal tit. I was pleased to get this shot as they are 'busy' little birds and always on the move.
I have added a shot of a very endearing Robin and 'fluffed up' Blue tit in my extras
