Drive for a Loaf

Now a 45 min drive to get a loaf might seem a bit extreme but Abbey St Bathans is a fabulous run and the bakery is well worth the effort.   We had the cafe to ourselves and Rufus (see extra) is a needy but totally loveable member of staff.  

Finished reading Alastair Moffat's 'Island of Tides' which is part historical, part reflection.  His writing on the Scottish Borders and the Holy Isle is well worth a read.
