Up Above It

Yesterday's blip was taken beside Lake Biwa. Today's blip was taken 1,100 meters above it. 

Randy and I began our ascent of Mount Horai at about 08:30 and we reached the top about three hours later. A bold effort by Randy who, as you can see, made his ascent carrying ski boots and skis. He did manage to do a little bit of skiing at the top.

We took the cable car back down and then had a most welcome onsen before I took the train back home.

Another fantastic day.
