Carol: Rosie & Mr. Fun

2019 Saturday — A.M. & P.M.

Thank you to everyone who stopped Thursday to leave congratulations on my page to mark the completion of 11 years (4015 blips). It arrives a little too quickly on the heels of the “4000” celebration. So thank you everyone.

Today’s photos capture the reality that we left our SoCal house this morning at 6:22 and about 3 hours and 45 minutes of driving time later we were arriving in Cayucos at our little retirement real estate. The highways were amazingly empty of traffic, but I think that was because we were up and out early.

After we unloaded our things and the 3 pups out of the car, we ate lunch, and then we spent the afternoon napping. The warmth coming in thru our windows from the sun was delightful, but also sleep inducing. At our house in SoCal we seem to have run the furnace constantly the past several weeks (see my photo of the snow in local mountain range.). This little beach house utilizes the natural warm so much better. As soon as the sun went down, though, the house began to chill, so the two little floor heaters keep us toasty. At night we close the double doors of our bedroom and with the two of us and the three pups, the room stays quite comfortable.

So that’s my story for this final Saturday of this year and this decade.

Good night from
Cayucos on
California’s Central Coast,
Rosie (& Mr. Fun), aka Carol
