Snow at the Border

The freeway was closed at the southern border between California and Nevada on Christmas day due to a huge snowstorm. Around 500 people got stranded!
While driving back yesterday, we saw cars parked on the side of the road and people taking photos or playing with the snow. The drive was pretty long and the traffic was heavy but the scenery was spectacular. The Mojave Desert covered in snow was an extraordinary sight. Shiny white against a very blue sky.
