Cousins

This is my cousin Angela, our ‘hostess with the mostest’ yesterday evening. When she and I were 14 and 13 years old we went to spend the 6 week summer holiday in Portugal. We flew alone (my first ever flight) and stayed with the wife of our grandad’s friend and her son, who was my age. Neither of them spoke very much English. We had some unforgettable adventures, and were reminiscing about some of them last night.

I’m travelling back to see my boys tomorrow, accompanied by Angela’s brother Jamie and his daughter. I’m sure that will be another adventure of sorts.
