Sheep crossing

Today's the day ……………………….. to get to the other side

Traffic jam on the way home from Edinburgh today - but not for long.  These sheep skipped across looking very relaxed as if they did this sort of thing every day.

Anyone know why the sheep crossed the road …………………….?
