Huntly Castle, set high above the Deveron, encompasses Scottish history! Dating from the twelfth century, it sheltered Robert the Bruce in the Wars of Independence was the marriage location for Lady Catherine Gordon and Perkin Warbeck, pretender to the English Crown in a ceremony attended by James IV, sacked by Covenanters, burned, rebuilt, visited by Mary Queen of Scots, James VI etc etc!!!!
