New Ground

The council turned this waste-ground into allotments a little while ago; right in the centre of town too, just amazing. So instead of an acre of nettles, there are plots where the folk in the local flats can grow their own five-a-day. They're still being worked on (there was talk of a cafe at one point) but nothing much goes on when the ground is frozen solid like this morning. Don't think the smiley scarecrows were minding the cold at all.
