Early warning

This sunrise set the tone for the day. It was so dark all day. Gales, strong winds and lashing rain. Poor Lottie wasn't keen to put her nose over the door step but I had some baking to deliver to Ruth and I always take Lottie with me. 

Lottie doesn't like her coat, but I put it on and we set off, into the teeth of the weather. At the bottom of the hedge we saw three rabbits, hunkered down, sheltering! Up at Ruth's we sat by the Rayburn, I took Lottie's coat off and Ruth towelled her little chilly paws and her head before feeding her some cat treats! Spoilt?!

There is mud everywhere! Dripping waterproofs and muddy boots. Doing anything outside in this wind is exhausting! I long for more still, clear, crisp, frosty days!
