[REC]

My Dear Princess and Dear Fellows,

After weeks of watching grisly tales of terror and w&nking on writing notes about them I finally decided to record some episodes today.

It went pretty well. At the time. This time I managed to leave the REC button on, and recorded four episodes in a row. Although I have now learned two valuable things:

- If I talk for that length of time, my tongue gets tired and refuses to behave. It took about six goes to get it to say "in Indonesia" without effing it up.

- It's just RUBBISH. It's rubbish. This is not me being a perfectionist. It is just not working. 

After I was done, I thought back on the episodes I had recorded and decided I need to rethink it all and try again tomorrow. It's just not conversational enough or funny enough or me enough. Who even AM I? I found myself thinking after I'd considered it. I am NOT this dull little person. Shut up.

So that is tomorrow's mission now. Don't be a boring bastard. 

Please don't read into this that I am losing enthusiasm or am feeling downcast about the podcast. I just need to decide how to present this crap, so I'll try something different tomorrow. I think I can do better.

However, the good news is that the recording levels seemed fine, and Jasper was SO well behaved. He came along and sniffed the microphone and then he fell asleep next to me. 

I am now taking a little break from horror films, but I'll be back into it tomorrow. For now, it is all about the couch, the cats and old episodes of "The Two Ronnies".
