Stumped

We walked over to the place, about a half mile from here, with the good view of the Willamette River, the RR Bridge, and downtown, but what to our surprise - the row of old, shaggy locust trees there, has been cut down. The trees ran along a ravine and were felled to fall into the ravine, so there they are. We don't know what the plan is.
