Sunset on the Ranch

The day started with feeding of the Longhorns on cattle nuts ( “Swiss Chocolate”appears in the extras ) and then we went to gather Pecans in an orchard of pecan trees. That was a new experience and we gathered 2 buckets of them ! 

We then set off to the Fossil Rim Wildlife Center ( USA spelling !) at Glen Rose and drove through the 1800 acre pastures where most of the 1100 animals roam freely in near natural conditions - many photos taken of antelopes, deer etc but I have only included the giraffe in the extras ( it almost had its head in the car to be fed!) .

Altogether a wonderful day - we head back to Austin tomorrow morning.
