Water levels high..
I’ve never seen the river at Eynsford this full. It was fast flowing too. Truly reflecting the amount of rain we’ve had recently. No cars attempting to go through the water rather than over the bridge either. Very sensible!
We came to have lunch with friends at The Plough here but it was fully booked. The Castle restaurant was almost empty when we arrived at 12.30 but it soon filled up and the atmosphere and food were good.
A short walk around Eynsford castle ruins before driving back home, and another relaxed/ lazy evening. I do like these in between days when it feels ok to do very little because it’s all been done.
We think we might be more adventurous tomorrow.
We heard it’s snowing in Norway and the family were going to take Esmée sledging. Oliver goes skiing in Italy tomorrow and was looking forward to it when I phoned M this evening. It’s still holiday time for many.
