Standing out

This tree grows by a passing place on the road to Portavadie, just a little in front of a plantation, from which I suspect it has seeded.

Driving past on a grey, wet , misty day I wasn't entirely sure what I had thought I had seen so I stopped on the way back , to get the full effect including the rain.   

No idea who, or why.   

But why shouldn't a tree  growing alongside thousands  of others want  a bit of the seasonal glamour and to be in show business like its indoor cousins ?
