Sunrise over Swinside

10 days ago we had a fairly spectacular sunrise, I dived into the car and sped off to the edge of Derwentwater - slightly too literally, as I was approaching Nichol end the blue lights came on behind me, and the very nice policeman commented on the impressive acceleration of my car. Fortunately, he didn't book me, but I missed the sunrise.

Halfway through my bowl of porridge this morning, I looked out of the dining room window, saw the sky turning this colour, and decided that shooting across the valley towards Swinside hill would ensure I didn't miss the colours (among other things).
