Boxing Day at sunset

A rather cloudy day but dry.We had a lazy morning and then went to Cromarty for a walk.We had thought about a walk at the beach in Rosemarkie but it looked busy.
We had taken Hot Chocolate with us in the thermos cups that David had given us for Christmas and sat and drank that first. The tide was going out and the gulls were finding what had been left behind by the waves.
Someone had left a bottle of whisky and some tiny paper cups as a goodwill gift for anyone passing by.
We walked along the path near the allotments. Some oyster catchers were in the field prodding about with their orange beaks.A cormorant landed on a rock and stretched out it’s wings to dry.One seal looked at us and then disappeared.
Back to the car and along to the Egg box for more eggs.A drive past the Brewery to get down to the lower road and came across an interesting wooden building which looked good with the sun reflecting on the windows.
Not much to be seen from the birdhide as the tide was now along way out and we could see that they might be a good sunset so we headed to the Point. We watched it go down and stayed until the last of the shades of red had disappeared.
Cold meat and bubbie and squeak for dinner and then we watched a couple of episodes of Jack Ryan.
