Abstract Thursday, Striations?

The sun came out this afternoon and Jeff and I enjoyed a delightful walk through the neighborhood and around the surrounding green space. We saw a large coyote that was basking in the sun where the grass and the wilderness met. In a shaded area, I came across tree fungi growing at ground level on the stump of a tree.
