Chicken in a Ditch

Last day of electioneering in the UK before tomorrow's vote,

As someone pointed out, the trench the contractors started digging today over our horse field to the house was not wide enough to fit the current PM of the UK who had promised to "Die in a Ditch" rather than ask EU for an extension beyond 31st October .... which he subsequently did.

He has also been accused in recent weeks of chickening out of various TV interviews notably on the environment and one with BBC's Andrew Neill. Today he even hid in a fridge rather than face TV reporters.

Our chickens weren't at all frightened of the digger, they loved it. Huge praise for the crew that put up with them constantly trying to grab the worms directly in front of the bucket.

It was a very frosty morning so the work showed no great sign of damage to the field. However, by afternoon and in the following days it got warmer & the sticky clay earth got to be a real mess. Long ditch about 70m - see extra photos
