Garden spider

I was surprised to see this garden spider this morning spinning herself a web on the rose bush. I rushed in to get the camera, but on returning I couldn't find her as she had retired to a little shelter she had spun between two dry rose leaves. Luckily I managed to coax her out for a quick photo shoot - though I do think she might have shaved her legs first!
My extra is little Lex holding Santa's key very tightly - bless him
