Cousins...

It’s been a lovely day!

Joff , Andréa, Esmée and ourselves were up at 7am to open our stockings. Esmée went down for a sleep after her breakfast and had to be woken to come with us to the Christmas Day service. First time for her, and many years for Joff, and a joy for us.

Matthew, Emma, Oliver, Sophia and Milo arrived. Time for coffee and to share gifts while the turkey rested and the roast vegetables finished roasting.

Dinner was great...and noisy! Happy noisy! Great to have us all together this year. My photo shows Sophia’s pride in her little cousin. Oliver was great with her too.

We took Milo for a walk in the park across the road and met several other dog walkers. Dogs and owners were all in the festive spirit.

More food, then bedtime for Esmée. Games for us and then time to head back to North London for some. Getting up at 4.30 am was beginning to take its toll.

Suddenly the house seemed very quiet. Time though for a sit, a chat and a nightcap.

I hope everyone here has had a very happy Christmas too.
