Boxing Day

Today we’ve been to see Alan’s mum and dad, and just as Alan was loading the car, the four farm dogs decided to pay us a visit. Alan had left the garden gate open so in they came, and Bobbie and Milou were barking at them through the conservatory door. Once the gate was shut, I let the boys out and they were great with the other dogs. Lorraine the ‘landlady’ came by, it’s the first time we’ve met her, and she was very chatty.

So a little later than planned we set off for Norma and Barry’s, but on the way we stopped off at B&Q to pick up some more logs and then to M&S to get something for lunch for us all.

We headed back to the cottage about 5pm and now the log fire’s roaring and the champagne’s open - cheers!
