Pies and carols
Woodpeckers and I arrived by 8-30am at the Saturday morning Nailsworth Farmer's Market, on time for once, and glad that rain hadn't materialised. Trade was slow at first but I had a reasonable day and sold a print to a pleased purchaser, solving his Christmas present dilemma.
Midway through the morning the Town Crier arrived, rang his bell and wished in his inimitable fashion that we all have a Happy Christmas with the good wishes of the Town Council.
Not long after the Nailsworth Silver Band set up their stall on the edge of the market and blew away. I quickly walked over and stood by the sausage and pie stall to get a blip.
