A funny old day
A funny old day
Today we had a trip lined up. Two days in the jungle with Indian elephants and monkeys. We were beyond excited.
The drive over was spectacular. India, if you’ve not been, is bonkers. Yes, bonkers. For three glorious hours I witnessed things on and on the side of the road that were breathtaking. Ranging from daredevil motorcycle moves, crazed drivers, street dealers, miles upon miles of literal rubbish, folk walking as though out for a gentle stroll whilst maniac road users zipped by. The stunning energy, the colours, the hope.
We arrived at our destination where we would drop into the jungles to see blessed elephants and monkeys. Sadly we didn’t drop anywhere. The place was not what it pretended to be.
90 minutes later and a pitch black hair raising drive back, and in our blessed refuge we now are.
Sleep tonight. Tomorrow someone will find my wrath.
