Santa came.

And brought train No. 3 for my Swiss village layout.

Having got two passenger trains the layout needed a small shunting engine and the beginnings of some freight trucks.The two refrigerated trucks belong to Migros, a well know Swiss supermarket chain.

In the unlikely event that anyone is interested this is a Swiss railways SBB Ee 3/3. They are used at Italian and French border stations and especially at Geneva. They are called Centre cab shunters and although small can reach speeds up to 60km/per hour.

Santa also brought some kits for buildings and trucks and these may appear at the January update blip.
