Cappuccino

In my humble opinion there are few items more photogenic than a nice cappuccino. We got sick of being confined to our house by the billowing smoke and decided to get out to Leura for a coffee. Unfortunately there is NOWHERE one can go to avoid the fumes entirely. We weren't out for long.

The firies have been working hard, during the present lull, to backburn a firebreak, now being dignified by the title, "Northern Strategic Line". It is intended to prevent the Grose Valley Fire from attacking Blue Mountains villages, adjoining the Great Western Highway from Blackheath to Springwood and such places. It should be put to the test from the day after tomorrow, when the temperatures soar once more and the winds blow up yet again.

I do so admire those hard working people. Churchill's words readily spring to mind about so much being owed by so many to so few.
