Cold and frosty morning

Brrr - deep frost this morning. It makes the land look magical, and a slight mist hanging over it all. Add to this a flock of birds appearing at just the right time. Looking forward to the snow later in the week.

It got even better on the way home. A barn owl was flying in front of my car down a country lane for a couple of hundred yards, and then I saw a couple more sitting in a tree. It's so nice to see things like this.
