SHEEP IN THE FIELD
A dark day this Christmas day.
We listened to Christmas carols in the morning.
And in the afternoon it was nice to walk down hill and along the river Weser to the sheep. We gave them stale bread, which they all liked much.
And from there we walked into town and around the harbour.
My entry for the Wide Angle Challenge the sheep and in the extra photos a strange sight of empty chairs before a closed cafe.
Piet Hein said it looked as if they were painted.
So lovely to read all your comments on my yesterday's photos, heartwarming words, wishing me (Piet Hein and family) a nice Christmas.
Yesterday we recieved two phonecalls from friends we had not seen in two years. A pretty surprise. The one friend we wanted to give some consolation, her Mother had just died at the remarkable age of 90 and her Husband had surgery and stayed at rehab, not too near home.
Our other friend told us she had find fun in talking to us, and had spontaniously decided to visit us soon if possible. Piet Hein had told of a silly program we saw on TV, where people were told to relax and just show a burning fire, a sleeping man, a dog and a cat, and that amazing sound of logs burning.
Huge thanks to BobsBlips for hosting the Wide Web Challenge.
I will give more silly hearts togennepher, davisc, Miranda1008, Vectensian and Torag.
And for tomorrow another good day to come.
Of course we hope to speak to Mischa and Dolf soon, knowing that they are enjoying peaceful time together.
