Anyway I took a wee look sideways on the way back up the mountain side this morning. This clear sparkling burn tumbles down from the west slopes of An Teallach. The pool, at the edges, looks like easy paddling depth but immediately below the cascading water you can just make out a deep black eroded cauldron like depression in the river bed, so clearly not the spot to try and cross in wellies.
