Penguin Island

Christmas Eve! It doesn't feel like Christmas but we are going to have a good time anyway!

Picked up Sandy and Kyle and we drove down to Rockingham to meet Cisco and Isaac. Took the ferry to penguin island and shared a big fish and chip picnic between us :) we spent a good hour or so snorkelling the shallows around the island, some big shoals of fish and puffer fish and jelly fish down there. Then an hour of sunbathing and a walk around the island.

The other guys missed the ferry back so sandy and I went to look at teh kitesurfers while we waited. If every day was like this (28 strong sun and relentless wind) then I would buy kiting kit and lessons immediately.

Afterwards I cooked a quiche and stuffing and went to an orphans Christmas dinner basically five if us who are away from family. We shared food and alcohol and card games.

It was a full day, I'm very tired now. Tomorrow I have dinner with Sandy's family, which is exciting :)
