Christmas Eve Bear Hunt -
and Eda is excited. There are so many parcels around the tree but this morning she played at being Moana in her boat (a cardboard box with a large spoon as a paddle) with daddy providing the transportation. Later we went on a ‘Bear Hunt’, well a Bluebell hunt in the garden really. She knows all the words to ‘Going on a Bear Hunt’ and was repeating them as went around the garden ‘we can’t go round it, we can’t go over it, we can’t go under it.... We’re going on a Bear Hunt, we’re going to catch a Big one, we’re not scared!’
Here she has found acorn cups as seen in ‘Stick Man’ and then we went over to the Holly. A ‘Berry Tree’ for ‘Berry Cake’ for the mini rabbit in ‘I’m not Lost’. Wonderful what they learn from their stories and who needs all these new toys anyway!
They didn’t arrive till 2.30am, I went to bed at 1.30am so we are having a bit of down time whilst Eda naps after our buffet lunch. John of course is going for a run his way of relaxing!
We are going out to the later Christingle service at 5.00pm. John is in charge of dinner tonight so that’s great and if we have the stamina some of us may make it to Midnight Mass.
(The holy family have had to stay at home on top of the piano - extra)
Have a wonderful Christmas time everyone, may you all enjoy peace and happiness at this special time of year.
