Swarming bees....

..... this morning on the nesting log on a tree in the garden.
Am hoping they are just resting while the scouts are out searching for a new potential hive.
Believe a swarm about the size of a grapefruit contains several hundred bees.
Looking at the size of swarm pictured, there must well be several thousand.
