Had to take a detour on the bike coming home from the city centre as something happened just up the road from us.

Me: "What happened?"
Cop: "Where are you from?"
Me: "Washington D.C. originally."
Cop: "Well, you know the kinds of things that happen in DC. There you go"."

So that pretty much means somebody got shot.
