It's creepy in the north

I did say the trip, to the northern suburbs was OK.  But it was creepy..........all along the route, there are cameras watching you.

In fact, there is a camera contraption, on the corner outside the Knight's house.  She says, it makes them feel safer.  It didn't make me feel safer, quite the opposite. It's like George Orwell's "1984".   Eish !

Despite the "you're being watched' feelings.......... I slept well.

I got up early, had my breakfast and slipped out the house, to go to the Virgin Active at Cresta. 

Because it is holidays, I have been gifted with "roving membership" i.e. I can attend any gym in the country, except the super delux fancy pants ones.



I did the 7 o'clock yoga class.  Enjoyed it.  Although the style was very different from what I am accustomed to.   Then I went for a quick swim in the pool and a steam.


They don't have a sauna.  SHAME !


Actually, they don't have much of a pool either. It is like a little postage stamp and very shallow.  I guess this is what happens, when you build a gym, in a high rise building.   See the extra.



What they did have, which was super cool - a couple of private change rooms.  I think this, change in public attitude of "gyms", is one reason, some people, don't do exercise. 



When I returned, just before 9 am, Vanathy was up.  So I had a second cup of coffee and chatted, whilst she had breakfast and then left.

The drive home, was more challenging than the drive there - more traffic.   When I got home, loaded my newsletter etc and then headed for Springs, to do THE BIG, grocery shop.

NOTE :  Barbara is in Thailand.


We shopped till we dropped. She wanted to go to half a dozen places, including the icing shop, which closed at 4 pm.  The icing shop was the rub, getting here, before it closed,  caused me to be a bully...................


Not my proudest moment.


We more or less got everything.   "We: arrived home ", in a mood.  I felt like I had been in the car ALL DAY.


Hey !  I had been, counted it up, probably was in the car, off and on, for about 5 hours.  And, it was stinking hot and the car has NO air conditioning.  Eish !
