Christmas Eve
Not the photo I imagined that I would have as a Christmas Eve photo. Little 'h' and her parents went to Bremner Bay and picked up a truck load of driftwood for me. Her Dad cut it up with his chainsaw, and put it in my wood shed. (Blip). I felt very guilty that I didn't help, so I went to the lake and picked up 6 shopping bags. I feel good about that. (Extra 1). As I was picking up the wood, I was thinking of the Christmas Carol, 'Good King Wenceslas' remembering that a poor man came in sight, gathering winter fuel. I was pleased that I wasn't like that poor man, at least it is summer, with the temperature +25C. However the fuel will be nice and dry for the Winter.
I was thinking what we would have been doing on Christmas Eve when I was a child. Because we were on a Dairy Farm, my Dad would have been baling hay. I have added a photo from that era, not very good, but you get the idea. I think this machine is a tedder.
Very excited as my daughter from Wellington has just landed in Queenstown. Soon we will be altogether again.
Wishing all my blip friends a Very Merry Christmas, and a Happy New Year.
