I'm trying another still life. I believe that this is a figurine of a Knight Templar.

Usually when we are on holiday V buys something typical of the area as a souvenir. At the time, April 2008, we were house sitting for friends who own a small guest house in the Hautes Pyrenees and they were having their first holiday for several years.

We had come to the small village of St-Bertrand des Comminges to view the Roman remains and the cathedral. There was a small souvenir shop there and I had hoped to buy a model Roman soldier but this was the nearest we could get.
