She's on Fire

My Dear Fellows and Dear Princess Normal,

Today is our last full day in the house before heading up to the Bay of Plenty for three days. Caro has been a MACHINE these past couple of days, talking to lawyers, talking to builders, talking to the real estate agent.

So the latest development is that the house MAY have moisture issues*. Potentially this could torpedo the whole deal, depending on how serious it is. But, on the plus side, we know about it now and the vendors have been instructed to investigate the issue and come back to us before we make a decision to proceed (or not).

Me and Caro aren't too disappointed and are prepared to walk away, if necessary. We'll have to wait and see in the new year.

But that's not all Caro has been up to! She has also been wrapping presents, fielding calls from her work AND she has been doing my marketing and social media for the podcast! How DOES she find the time to do all this?

She's on drugs. I'll bet ya. Drugs.

Meanwhile, all I've been doing is watching movies and writing up notes on them. Because I want the podcast to stand out, I've been trying to find interesting, out-of-the-way films that the young whippersnappers won't necessarily have heard of**.

But Caro put on her marketing hat and came up with a name for the podcast AND the logo! I love them both as they are very attention grabbing. What may grab YOUR attention is my podcast pseudonym, "Val Thomas" which you may or may not know is from my parents' first names.

(I'm a bit paranoid about privacy and anonymity. This is after Caro's cousin Helen - who used to announce the weather on BBC Radio Shetland - found a weird effing American waiting outside the studio one day. This guy wasn't even a Shetlander, just told her he'd come all this way because he "loved her voice". Fuh-REAK!)

So anyway, you can see the logo in the extra. I think it is very cool.

S.

* Don't we all, dear?

** So far, I have written episodes on "Rabid", "Ghost Story", "Ghostwatch", "The Exorcist", "Rituals", "Just Before Dawn", "The Stepfather", "Frankenstein: The True Story", "Session 9", "The Psychic", "The Eye", "Someone's Watching Me!", "Eyes of Laura Mars" and "The Bird With The Crystal Plumage". And if you've heard of more than half a dozen of those then I'm not trying hard enough.
