Brothers...

...and today shepherds in the children’s nativity service. Three of our young friends. Big brother was on the technical team.

This is just a spontaneous capture, after the nativity and while Ian was speaking. I liked their interaction..and their hats!

The play took the theme of The Antiques Road Show and the story of Jesus’ birth was interwoven. It was brilliant. One hopeful visitor to the venue took an old, tatty and obviously once much read book he’d found in his loft. It wasn’t given any value because of its condition but the expert said he’d take a further look. Inside he found hidden treasures, words with great meaning and a message of hope. He gave it back with great joy and excitement to the one who’d brought it and said he too must read it and pass on its wonderful message. It was a bible....

This evening we’ve been to the carol service. Ian shared a short video during the service called There’s a dragon in my nativity which I’ve googled and watched again. I can recommend it.

A very good day, the fourth Sunday in Advent, and the festival of Chanukkah for my Jewish friends.

Tomorrow our first lot of visitors arrive. It will be wonderful to see them!
