Blacksmith at Macclesfield Market
We started the day with a wander around Macclesfield market, where I took several photos on my phone, but this one of a mobile blacksmith won the main place on my blip today. He was making pokers for fireplaces - and he was remarkably quick about it!
I still had 4 extras available this year so decided to blip a large *Playmobil model of Egon Spengler of Ghostbusters fame, which we saw outside a toy shop. Ghostbusters was in its heyday when our Sons #1&2 were little, and Egon was the favourite of Son#1 so it brought back memories.
(RIP Harold Ramis, the actor who player Egon Spengler in the films, who sadly died in 2014 after a long illness.)
After that, we took Mum-in-Law out for a pre-Christmas lunch, along with our 3 lads who joined us here yesterday along with Son#2's partner, and my Editor's sister who came over from Sheffield with her partner. Then we drove home to Newcastle with the sons + partner where we'll be all together for Christmas which will be lovely. The roads were surprisingly quiet this evening so we had a good journey - no holdups and amazingly no-one tailgating us at all (that's unusual).
(*Other makes of toys are available.)
