Low Tide Mollusk

I walked a little bit along the York River this afternoon at low tide. I saw and snapped photos of quite a few interesting sights. What made this photo my pick of the day is the shape, texture and patina of this mollusk. I like the way it curves and at the bottom it almost looks like a wood texture. It was a nice, crisp day and we made a lot of progress towards our Christmas final preparations.
