Lefse Day
Almost every sib, sib-in-law, niece and nephew in the state got together today for our annual Lefse Day at Ken and Dee's. We've been doing this for almost 20 years. This time there was only one griddle going as we took turns rolling out the tradional Norwegian potato flatbread (very much like a tortilla).
Then there was the eating of it (butter, sugar, cinnamon), and a sit down potluck meal followed by a spontaneous turn-taking of personal highlights of the year. Turned out, hands down, the fave highlight was the pretty much perfect wedding and family gathering when niece Melissa and her Chris got married in July.
In the pic are Dee and Ken (in reds), sister Barb, nephew Tyler, nephew Julian (standing), brothers Keith and Ron.
