Solid snow and frosty dusting

The village is engulfed in freezing fog, it is a dull, grey and extremely cold day and I am not venturing out. This is the neighbours hedge and tree, still covered in snow from a couple of days ago and with a fresh coating of frost. I thought it looked quite pretty and the back garden is the furthest I want to go today.
I have put out 3 lots of food for the poor birds, I think the word has got round that we are a soft touch because I counted 30 plus blackbirds and more small birds than I have seen in one place for ages. This cold spell is costing us a fortune in bird food but they need it and I love to watch them so I guess it's worth it :-)
