Heart blanket

While I was off work after my heart surgery I decided I should use some of my time constructively and knit a blanket.

I used cotton and just one ball of each colour, which made 3 squares of each colour. I decided every square should be different, except for the corners and middle which each have a heart on them.

I knitted all but two of the squares. I made my sisters knit one each to add to it.

I did get it knitted while I was on medical leave - I just hadn't got all the ends sewn in. Finally finished that today, so here is the finished product - covering my legs while I read a book in the front seat of the van. (I'm very fortunate to have seats that swivel so I can use them as an armchair).
