Almost Midwinter

A busy day with lots of chores and Fred returning home from Indonesia.
I know flying is statistically very safe but when your son is flying from the other side of the planet it can be stressful. I guess that's the joy of being a parent. 

I enjoyed a late afternoon walk with Paige, hence this photo, and an interesting chat with a pro photographer who stopped to talk. 

Winter has been a bit strange so far, really wet and windy. I wonder what the last part of December and January will bring?
