It’s almost feeling a bit like Christmas

For various reasons, it hasn’t felt one bit like Christmas as yet.... but we’re getting there. Late to the party, as ever. And no, the Christmas shopping isn’t finished.

The eldest and I went out this afternoon to purchase a tree. We had attempted it earlier in the day, but the farm selling Christmas trees had sold out! Why am I surprised, it’s the third year running of the Christmas tree panic as we always leave it late.

Tree is still in the back of the car as we have been desperately trying to finished the kitchen. Floor is down and curtains are up. Two more blinds to go up, but that isn’t happening tonight. I am officially exhausted.

Poor boys has be had a rather dull day, although the eldest spent most of the day in a ‘safari boat’ made from cushions, every so often one of us had to join him for a paddle along the African river looking for game. Kept him amused for hours.
