Edward Hopper

The flu is over but  I still feel a little weak... I stayed in bed in the evening looking at some paintings by Hopper, and this one is a favourite. A boy wakes up in the sight of the full moon and its reflection on the sea. At the same time the wall of his bedroom has been knocked down to help the view. I would name it "The awakening" because this is rather a dream, in which he wakes up to the full meaning and existence of the beauty of the moon.
