Kick-off was at 12.30pm for the Cardiff City v Preston North End match, the time and date changed yet again at short notice due to it being televised on Sky tv.  Preston were 3rd in the league and it was always going to be a hard match with Cardiff in 12th.

It was a dour match, with some strange refereeing decisions yet again. The blipfoto shows Cardiff's appeal for a penalty in extra time turned down so the match ended 0-0.
