Fine artists

A fab day!
Down to Leeds on the train - a very civilised couple of hours reading and drinking coffee - arriving in time to walk to the Tiled Cafe in the art gallery to meet Lucy and friends for lunch. Then up to the university campus for the degree ceremony. Four of the graduates on the MA Fine Art course were there, and after they'd collected their gowns, they gathered for mulled wine and cake, and posed in front of the 'Congratulations' sign. Almost impossible to capture four artists simultaneously looking in the same direction and smiling, but I like this photo of them and a tutor guarding the cakes! (Lucy's in the middle.)
The degree ceremony itself was formal and quite short, and a real 'proud mum' moment!

Afterwards, drinks and a celebratory Japanese meal in Leeds.
Sad to say goodbye to Lucy and Jake late evening, as Tom and I hurried to the station to catch a train to the outskirts, where he lives and I stayed the night.
